The evidence indicates that equine flu has now passed through the Forest herd. The Agisters have seen no ponies showing symptoms on the Forest for several weeks. However, cases continue to be reported on some private holdings in the Forest area.
The Court has therefore decided that the 2026 pony drifts will recommence from 2nd October, in accordance with the existing drift list.

The situation will be closely monitored as the drifts progress. The way in which the drifts are undertaken will remain under review and may be adjusted if circumstances require.

As throughout the outbreak, the Court will continue to be guided by veterinary advice.
